Harmony school of innovation held their first book fair for the 2011-2012 school year September 19 -23. We decided to interview the book fair volunteers. We were told that it takes about 3 dedicated people at the most to help set up the book fair. The school hopes to get about 4,000 dollars of revenue from the book fair sales. The money raised from the book fair will go toward our school library.
We wanted to find out what the younger kids thought about the book fair so we interviewed T.K. Kante (4th grade), Julie Do (4th grader), Harsha Sirigind (2nd grade), and Darian Anderson (2nd grade). T.K. said,” I go to the book fair almost every year,” but it was Julie, Harsha, and Darian that said that it was their first time going to the book fair. They all stated that they do plan on going next year. Darian even said, “I hope I can go next year.” All of the students think that the book fair is fun, because they have a lot of books and toys, and you get time out of class.
Overall the book fair was a success. A lot of books were sold and a lot of money was raised for our Harmony library.
