Turkish at Harmony

Harmony School Of Innovation offers 3 languages for students to take: Turkish, Spanish, and a language that is new to this year, French.

A small percentage of students in Harmony are in Turkish . Mrs. Sevim, our new Turkish teacher this year was interviewed by Mehrin Ali as well as a few students in Turkish.

95% of students in Turkish class likes to learn Turkish.

The majority of students that are in Turkish find the class to be useful:

Sixth grade student, Nichole Baker, acknowledged that “It’s impressive on college applications.”

Despite the student’s thrill and excited for Turkish class, not all students like the class. “I think 5% of my students in Turkish do not like it”, Mrs. Sevim commented.

Why? “Learning grammar rules is hard in Turkish --- But I try to make it easier and funnier” explained Mrs. Sevim. The reason why students don’t like Turkish class because learning grammar is hard.

Overall most students in Turkish class enjoy learning the language. However, very few students in Harmony are in Turkish class. For those who are in Spanish, go to Turkish. Turkish class is fun!
