Harmony will be holding their annual science fair on December 10th at 8:00 a.m. The science fair will be here at HSA Carrollton. Students are required to participate. James, Raquel, and Vintre are 3 students participating.
James in 9th grade is doing his project on “how to make a phone blow up”. He thinks that he has a good chance of winning because he has “results, a video, and a good poster board.” James started his project 3 weeks ago, the week of the 28th, and is finished and ready to compete. He says that he has never won before and he doesn’t want to win now because, “It isn’t fun, you have to go to state which takes away personal time.” He says.
Raquel in 10th grade is doing her project on “how the media affects people’s thoughts on beauty”. She doesn’t think she has a good chance of winning. She chose her experiment because she likes technology and is “interested in human behavior.” She has competed in science fair before and has even won 3rd place in her grade.
Vintre Majors in 6th grade is doing a project about a bow and arrow. He thinks he has a good chance of winning because he’s “never done this project before.” Vintre, like James, started his project 3 weeks ago and is halfway done. He chose his project because he “likes to make things and it is cool.” Vintre has competed in a science fair before and he thinks, “Science fair is fun to do.”
