Winning a Kindle

After earning the highest number of AR points, Peter Lee (from 5a) and Nikil Thomas (from 2nd grade) received a Kindle. In the beginning of first semester, students were told that if they received the highest number of AR points they would received a Kindle as a prize. Harmony school of innovation bought kindles that cost $79, and gave them to Peter Lee and Nikil Thomas. Both students read as many books as they can to earn a Kindle.

When Peter Lee received his Kindle for the first time, he was very emotional. “I felt very happy”, said Peter. In addition, he read a great number of books. “I think I read 50 books, acknowledge Peter. Fortunately, Peter Lee is very grateful with his Kindle.

Nikil Thomas (from 2nd grade) is only in the second grade, but that doesn’t stop her from winning a Kindle. Kikil Thomas “felt surprised” when her name was announced, to receive her prize. Furthermore, Nikil Thomas “likes” the Kindle. Nikil even smiles over the word Kindle.

Hopefully, many  other students can enjoy the Kindle as much as Peter and Nikil. “For the first semester It was just a campaign, but were trying to do it again 2nd semester” mentioned Mrs. Duplio. Receiving a Kindle as a prize is fun and honorable. Anyone whose is an avid reader should have a Kindle.
