Every month Harmony hosts a practice PSAT for high school students to prepare for the mandatory one that they have to take in 11th grade. Raquel, James, and Kiana are 3 students that have participated in most of the PSAT’s.
Raquel in 10th grade says she has taken all but one of the PSAT’s and thinks they don’t really help because, “We don’t review them, and we just take them.” Raquel says that she doesn’t prepare for them she just takes them. When I asked what score she wants to make she said, “As long as it is good, it does not matter.”
James in 9th grade says that he has taken all of the PSAT’s and thinks “they were all boring and not that hard”. James prepares by going to SAT websites to study. When I asked what score he wants to make he said, “Whatever the highest one is.”
Kiana in 10th grade said that she has taken all but 2 of the PSAT’s and she thinks they are hard and she “could use more practice.” Kiana does not study for them but she thinks that the SAT classes she takes at Harmony help prepare for them. She said she wants to get the highest score so she can get into a better school.
The next PSAT was supposed to be held Saturday the 17th but was canceled and has not yet been rescheduled.
