Honor Society Assembly

Rewarding and honorable, straight A students were invited to an Honor Society assembly on January 13, 2012. The invitation was given 1 week prior to the assembly. The Honor Society assembly was basically an invitation into the Honor Society program. Students and parents were invited to the assembly because those who earned straight A’s throughout the whole semester were automatically accepted into the Honor Society program.
Harmony school of Innovation provides a program for students who get straight A’s for the past semester. Those who are accepted into the program, get a free shirt day (every Friday) , an Honor Society pin, and an Honor Society T-shirt at the assembly.
The Honor Society assembly was originally held in the Gym. “They just gave out awards,” stated Ahlam Hussien (from 7b),”I was happy because it’s been like four years since I got the award.” For some students, like Ahlam, joining the Honor Society is a big deal. In the assembly, Mr. Maurati briefly explained what the purpose is of the Honor Society
It’s great to be recognized and accepted into a program, especially the Honor Society program. However, the Honor Society Assembly was a memorable gathering. It reminds is that there are rewards for the greatest accomplishments that we make in Harmony.
