Contagion Review

There's nothing more frightening than being quarantined in your city by the U.S. Military because of an unknown disease that rapidly spreads around killing millions of people. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the movie Contagion stars Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, and Kate Winslet. It’s not based on a true story but it’s a realistic possibility that this situation can happen to the world. This PG-13 movie was released on September ninth and ranked four stars.

The mystery and suspense movie takes place around the world showing where people were infected by the disease and how it spread to other places. With people panicking about being trapped in an infected area by the government, a series of chaos and murder occurs when it comes to stealing medicines for themselves. A disease that serious can pressure the World Health Center. Finding a cure can take months from all the experiments scientists have to do on monkeys and deciding who gets the cure first.

This movie was really informative teaches people to be more sanitary. It was very interesting to see how everything you touch in public can affect your surroundings. Tourists travel along to other countries not knowing that they had brought the disease with them. From the slightest touch on doorknobs, hand rails, or even your face can cause the death of everyone else. I really liked how dates and place names are announced on the screen to see the process of the disease spreading.
