Colombiana is a PG-13 movie, starring Zoe Saldona, about at a woman who is seeking revenge on her parent’s assaians. Colombiana begins with 9 year old Catalaya, played by Amandla Stenberg, being chased throughout the streets of Colombia moments after seeing her parents die. It then switches to the adult Catalaya played by Zoe Saldona. The movie quickly grabs your attention in the first 5 minutes and holds it throughout the rest of the movie. This was a really good action packed movie and could be compared to SALT starring Angelina Jolie (but in my opinion this was better). This movie has a great beginning that really hooks you in. Colombiana may not be appropriate for kids under 13 only because there is mild violence. Overall this was a great movie and I recommend it to anybody who is a fan of Zoe Saldona or just likes really good action movies.
(Keep your eyes open for the up and coming child star Amandla Stenberg who will be playing Rue in “The Hunger Games”the movie.)
