Authentic bridges across the world have captivated the hearts of those who crossed it. I ‘am talking about bridges that are made from bridges that are made from spaghetti. Spaghetti bridges, a newly annual tradition, are a competition to build creativity in a child’s mind. In this project, students can build their desired bridges out of spaghettis compete with other students.
Those who have attended the competition, is allowed to use uncooked spaghetti straws and glue them to form a unique spaghetti bridge. There are just going to use just spaghetti, and just are free of building anything that fits to the size.” explained Mr. Yildirim. Indeed, many students did create unique spaghetti and one even enjoyed building it. “My favorite part of the project was building the bridge “wrote David Viscous from 7a. The students like the project so much, that it is now a Harmony annual tradition.
Only middle school students were eligible in competing. However, next year Mr. Yildirim is attempting to extend the competition to high school students. “Yes, I planning an annual competition” acknowledge Mr. Yildirim. Of course Mr. Yildirim helped with the spaghetti competition. He would also like to “recommend it” to other schools.
The aftermath of the Spaghetti competition was positive grades and memorable accomplishments. Now students can continue on their daily school routine knowing that they have developed a skill: engineering with uncooked spaghetti straws. Although the Spaghetti Competition purpose is based on academics, it brought cherished grins and faithful memories which serves Harmony’s purpose: building memories through academics.
