Harmony is filled with lots of amazing events, but on January 11, 2012 were the 4th-8th grades. Which is harmony’s 3rd Spelling Bee ever. I interviewed an 8th grader that came in 2nd place in the spelling Bee, his name is Lojen. He said he was nervous, but he also told me that it wasn’t his first spelling bee. He did one last year and came in first place! He thought it was all easy until the last word came up. Lojen was very prepared because his mother and father quizzed him on the words. I guess that’s why he came so close to winning. Ha HAA
Alex is one of the fourth graders I interviewed. He made it to the sixth word, but didn’t make it to the seventh. He did an amazing job though. Surprisingly it was his first spelling bee, but he still wasn’t nervous! He felt confident about the spelling bee because his father quizzed him on the words. Even though he didn’t win he enjoyed the spelling bee and will try it next year. He will expect to go further.
Mansi our harmony spelling champion is an 8th grader who tried her best and it paid off! Even our spelling bee champion was nervous! She studied the word list the judges gave the students. This wasn’t her first spelling bee; she did two others in the past. Mansi enjoyed it a lot and hopefully we see who next years are spelling champion is.
