The Hunger Games is written by Suzanne Collins. The main characters are Peeta, Gale, and Katniss.
The area that used to be the United States is divided into districts and every year a boy and a girl between ages tweleve to eighteen are chosen to enter an event called The Hunger Games.
Katniss and her family dwell on the poorest district side of Panem. However, Katniss’ family depends on her for food after her father’s death. She hunts along with Gale and brings food back to her family. Unexpectedly, Katniss’ sister, Prim is chosen for the Hunger Games along with Peeta, who is the bakers’ son. Katniss takes Prim’s place and Katniss and Peeta are sent to the wealthy capital.
I interviewed Dacia, Stefani and Ms. Eames to see some reactions towards the book. They stated their opinions, their interest and their love towards the book. “It was really intersting how the author used one the characters that Katniss can trust and the unexpected occurs,” remarked Ms. Eames. Dacia proclaimed, “Katniss and Peeta make a nice couple, so I can keep Gale.”
