HSI Middle School Basketball

The middle school boy’s basketball team is filled with young talent. Helping mold this team to become a powerhouse in its division is Head Coach Mr. Yohannes and assistant head coach Mr. Noel Vasquez. They are both happy with the progress of the team even though they started off slow with a 1-2 record but there is still time left to make a late push to make it in the playoffs.
Coach Noel Vasquez said “This team has potential they just need to practice hard every time in school and out of school and they need to love the game of basketball even more so they can have that motivation to improve their game.”
I asked starting center Reginald Blouin who was the leader of the team and he quickly responded with starting Forward Jaime Frias. The reason for his answer is that he works hard in every practice and game and he tries hard to improve his game by practicing even with the HSI high school boys’ basketball team.
Even though the team is 1-2, they are a very young team with their roster mainly made up with 6th and 7th and they have the talent to become a dominant team. To help the team come and support them at their next game December 6th at 5:30.
