How to Make the Best Christmas Treats

M&M CHRISTMAS COOKIES
Prep time: 30 minutes
Bake time: 8-10 minutes
What’ll you will need:
·         1 stick of butter, softened
·         ¼ cup of solid vegetable shortening
·         1 cup of granulated sugar
·         2 large eggs
·         ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
·         2 ¾ cups of all purpose flour
·         ½ teaspoon of baking soda
·         ¼ teaspoon of baking soda
·         1 cup of m&m’s brand minis milk chocolate candies
What to do:
1.       Prepare cookies: in a large bowl mix shortening and sugar until light and fluffy: beat in eggs and vanilla. Then in medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; blend into creamed mixture.
2.       Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Working with half the dough at a time on a lightly floured surface, roll 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes using 2 ½-inch cookie cutters. Using spatula, carefully transfer ungreased cookies to cookie sheets.
3.       Bake 8 to 10 minutes and then cool completely on wire racks.
Review: The only problem we had with the cookies was that we put too many cookies in the oven at once. Overall the cookies tasted good, and they were a big turnout with our family.
